Our standard timber hoarding comes grey as standard but can be coated any colour. Other options to consider are kicker and header boards, which sit top and bottom of the hoarding sheets. Vertical cover strips can also be used to allow expansion gaps between the sheets without having gaps in the hoarding line. Posts are commonly positioned at 2.4m centres, with C16/24 rails and 18mm osb being our preferred sheet material. Many hoarding contractors use plywood but we prefer the stability of an OSB specifically made for hoarding. We also use treated timbers as we find treated and graded timber better to work with and longer lasting without splits or rot.
